Aarhus Jazz Festival
Like all good festivals the Aarhus Jazz Festival is continually evolving and has achieved international renown. The whole city is backing the eight days of jazz and at this festival you can experience more than 300 concerts at 30 different venues.
Jazz everywhere in the city
Every summer in July, Aarhus is filled with rhythms, improvisation and musical encounters when the Aarhus Jazz Festival invites you to enjoy jazz in all its forms. From intimate club concerts and large outdoor stages to unexpected pop-up concerts in streets and parks – jazz is everywhere, and you are invited to join in.
International names and local talents
The festival attracts both established names and new voices on the jazz scene. Here you can experience everything from classic swing and experimental jazz to fusion, funk and world music. Aarhus Jazz Festival collaborates with local venues, cultural centres and cafés, providing diversity in both music and setting.
A festival with room for everyone
The festival is known for its open and inclusive atmosphere. Many of the concerts are free and take place in public spaces – in squares, parks and in front of cultural institutions. Aarhus Jazz Festival creates a sense of community where both dedicated jazz fans and curious passers-by can find inspiration and experiences.
Children's jazz and family-friendly experiences
There is also plenty of jazz for the little ones. With children's jazz, rhythmic workshops and fun musical experiences, the festival is an experience for the whole family. For example, you can take the children to children's jazz at Musikhuset, Dokk1 or outdoors.
