Treasure Chamber of Siam - Rasmus Havmøller's extraordinary collection

The Treasure Chamber of Siam was founded by Rasmus Havmøller, who lived and worked in Siam from 1914 to 1933. All animals and objects were captured, hunted, and collected by Rasmus Havmøller, who opened the exotic museum in the heart of Ebeltoft in 1940.

When you visit the museum, you can be given a key, allowing you to get up close to the stories behind various aspects of the collection and their great significance.

The Treasure Chamber of Siam - Rasmus Havmøller's collection includes several endangered or extinct animals and birds, which could not be assembled today due to regulations regarding the buying and selling of endangered species.
