Skt. Nikolaj Bjerg

In the northwestern part of Sebbersund, you will find St. Nikolaj Bjerg, a landmark of Sebbersund village. The vantage point on top of the hill ensures amazing photo opportunities the whole way round.

If you want a unique view of Limfjorden, as well as a good vantage point of Nibe and Halkær broad, then this is the place to be. If you are the hiking type, you can walk all the way up to the top, but there is also road for cars and other vehicles, if you are bringing the family, or cannot go there yourself.

Historically

Vikings used to use St. Nikolaj as an observation post of the great market that used to be placed at the bottom of the hill. This market has been estimated to be somewhere between 1300 and 900 years old. Traces can be found of settlements, where different smithies, iron workers and weavers have worked.
