Get Close to Nature at the Shelter Site at Rands Fjord

Rands Fjord now has its very own shelter site!

Facilities at the Shelter Site

The newly built shelter accommodates up to 5 people. The site also features a designated fire pit and is surrounded by stunning nature while being close to parking.

Currently, the site is quite basic, so visitors must bring their own water and firewood.

Toilets: There is a basic composting toilet within walking distance of the shelter site, located at the beginning of the red trail leading to the birdwatching tower, if you look at the information boards on site.

Book the shelter: The shelter at Rands Fjord must be booked via bookenshelter.dk. The price is 30 DKK per night. Book the shelter here!

Please note the parking arrangements

Parking is available at the car park at Fagerlien 27. From there, it is approximately a 600-metre walk to the shelter site.
It is not permitted to drive beyond the parking site. The rest of the route is a private forest road with no possibility of parking or turning around.

From the shelter site, you can walk to Rands Fjord’s birdwatching tower, which offers a fantastic view over the fjord.
