Raadhuskælderen Restaurant

You can look forward to delicious food, chilled drinks, and a fine selection of wines in a cosy setting – whether in the historic cellar or out in the courtyard. Whether you’re here for an intimate dinner for two or attending a gathering in the Borgmesterstuen (the Mayor’s Room), you’ll enjoy an experience in a truly special atmosphere.

Dine in history at Raadhuskælderen in Roskilde

Restaurant Raadhuskælderen is located beneath Roskilde’s old Town Hall, just 50 metres from Roskilde Cathedral – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Denmark’s most significant churches. Here, you enjoy your meal in historic surroundings, right in the heart of the city.

At lunchtime, the menu includes traditional Danish open sandwiches (smørrebrød), lunch platters, grilled steaks, salads, and sandwiches. In the evening, you can choose from a wide variety of starters, main courses, and desserts – including freshly grilled steaks, the catch of the day, and a monthly set menu.

When summer arrives, you can take a seat in the courtyard between the Town Hall and the Cathedral. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy your meal outdoors, either in the sunshine or in the shade beneath the apple trees.
