Horreby Lyng is a raised bog, with traces of human activity dating back to the Neolithic period.

The area started as a meltwater lake, but has over time developed into a raised bog. The very special conditions mean that today there is a wealth of exciting flora and fauna.

The bog's oxygen-poor environment also makes it a treasure trove when it comes to historical finds. Skeletons, goatskin capes, flint tools and much more have been found here.

Several different routes have been made through Højmosen, of between 3 and 5 km. Along the plank paths you will find signs, so there is plenty of opportunity to dive into the exciting area. Find a map of the area here.
