Go on a spring hunt with the children in Roskilde

Would you like to discover the springs in a fun and educational way with your children? Then join Roar and Helge on an exciting journey through Roskilde’s world of springs. In the activity booklet “Hunting the City’s Springs” (available in Danish), children aged 8–13 are guided along an approximately 3 km route through the city centre.

Along the way, they solve tasks and riddles to locate eight different historic springs, each with its own unique story – from the healing spring of St Ib (a medieval Danish saint) to the water-rich Maglekilde, associated with Neptune, the Roman god of the sea. It is an adventurous and active way to explore the city’s history and natural surroundings.

The booklet is free, easy to bring along and ideal for a family outing.

Download Hunting the City’s Springs and begin your adventure.
