Velodrom Coffee Shop

In the cozy old station building in Fruens Bøge, right by Restaurant Carlslund, Skovsøen and the playground, you will find the Café Velodrom. The station atmosphere has been retained and the train still stops outside twice an hour. Here you can get delicious coffee, tea, cakes or a sandwich in the cosily decorated café, which has retained some of the details from its many years as a station building, including the ticket hatch and on the walls you will find Aage Rasmussen's iconic DSB posters.

The name Velodrom is a tribute to the local cycling hero, world sprint champion Thorvald Ellegaard (six world championships from 1901 to 1911).
