Vasnæs Battery

Built 1808 as one of four batteries, blockading the waters of The Little Belt against British vessels during the Napoleonic Wars 1807-14. Vasnæs Battery was refortified 1848 in the first Schleswig War (1848-50) and finally 1864 in the second Schleswig War.

The Vasnæs Battery is listed as a National Heritage Site since 1971 and restored in 1999.
