Svend - Filmdays

One of the highlights of the week is the grand award ceremony on the Square, where the red carpet is rolled out, the cameras are rolling, and all the renowned actors and directors come to Svendborg to participate in the competition for the SVEND statuettes. It is Denmark's only film festival where moviegoers themselves determine who should receive the awards. Therefore, everyone is, of course, invited to the award ceremony.

But before that, the city is filled with exciting activities such as lectures, children's entertainment, film screenings, and much more.

Guest of Honor

Every year, a person within the film industry is honored; previous guests of honor have included Susanne Bier, Lars Mikkelsen, Bille August.
