Church art and fascinating details

Also take note of the altar wall, where the sculptor Yan has created a decoration featuring ships, coloured glass and sunbeams in stainless steel. The light highlights the artwork’s many details.
The Hærvejen Tapestry - a story told in embroidery
One of the church’s most distinctive works of art is the ten-metre-long Hærvejen Tapestry, which tells the story of the Hærvejen through embroidered motifs.
The tapestry was created based on watercolours by the artist Inga Linde Jensen and embroidered by a group of women over a period of five years. You will find it in the passageway leading to the church nave.
The church also provides a setting for concerts and musical events.
