The Randers Festival
Randers Festival also known as Randers Festuge is one of the highlights of the year in Randers. Here you can look forward to a festive week where culture, music and community fill the streets of the city, and where you can take part in hundreds of events for children, young people and adults alike.
An entire town in a festive mood
At the beginning of August, Randers buzzes with life, music and cultural experiences. Randers Festuge (Randers Festival) is one of Denmark's largest and oldest cultural festivals, bringing thousands of people together every year for a week of community, creativity and festive atmosphere throughout the town.
Over 400 experiences in one week
With over 400 events spread across more than 30 stages, Randers Festuge is a cornucopia of music, theatre, art, talks, children's activities and much more. The festival offers both intimate experiences and large concerts, and the programme ranges from classical and experimental to popular and family-friendly.
Music and cultural experiences for everyone
Music is at the heart of the festival week, and you can experience everything from upcoming names to well-known artists on the city's stages. But Randers Festuge is more than just music – it also features art exhibitions, poetry, debates, street theatre and creative workshops. The festival involves the whole city, with museums, cafés, streets and squares providing the setting for the activities.
A community driven by volunteers
Randers Festuge is created by and for the city. With hundreds of volunteers, local associations, cultural actors and the business community behind it, the festival is a strong community project where the locals themselves help shape the content – and that means that as a guest, you can get up close to the local atmosphere and meet the city's locals – the Randrusians.
