The church was built in 1911 by the architect Valdemar Schmidt and the building price was 22.000 DKR. 

The church appears as a simple construction in yellow brick, with an altar decoration of a garlanded cross. 

The church is situated on the fringe of Store Vildmose (the Big Wild Moor).
