Nexø Church

If you walk along Købmagergade in Nexø, you will soon come to a beautiful sandstone fence. Behind this fence lies one of Nexø's oldest buildings, namely Nexø Church.

Nexø Church survived the bombardment in 1945

Despite damage, Nexø Church survived the bombardment in 1945. The tall, unusual half-timbered tower with the onion spire is the city's landmark and towers over the beautiful cemetery.

The cemetery at Nexø Church

The cemetery just outside the church has one of Denmark's largest collections of grave monuments worthy of preservation.
