Kongsøre Skov

The epitome of a Danish beech forest.

From Kongsøre Skov, the beautiful old beech trees grow all the way down to the coast of Isefjord.

The forest contains 55 ancient monuments in the form of burial mounds and stone mounds, and it is said that the legendary King Øre is buried under a mound in the forest.
