Made by Erik Heide in 1989.

How does a happy fish look? Maybe it is wagging its tail, as the sculpture by Erik Heide is. The fish is a strong symbol of Hirtshals and the maritime. The fish shows a happy and confident confidence in the future.
Erik Heide’s sculptures almost have a simplicity, as seen in the Middle ages, to it. The sculptures, whether made from iron, bronze, or stone, keeps a lot of the material characteristics, and the finished sculpture seems pure, which is an important trait to its artistic strength.
