At Galerie Seia, you can discover Jette Kirkeby's paintings, combining figurative subjects with abstract, bold strokes. Her works explore subjects such as faces and different moods.
Jette Kirkeby has been painting since 1990 and has exhibited at many art associations and galleries. In 2011, her painting underwent a change. Having previously been very abstract, her paintings began to become more concrete.
“I really enjoy the concentration required to paint, for example, a face. However, my paintings still feature the ‘bold strokes’ that I also used in my abstract paintings, so the painting becomes a combination of something very concrete and something more abstract.
At the same time, I find great inspiration in bringing out different moods in the paintings I create.”
