Tranekær Fyr / Stengade Skov - Havørred Fyn Hotspot nr. 52
Tranekær Lighthouse and the surrounding coast offer strong currents and great sea trout spots – with catches up to 10 kilos. Productive stretches both north and south of the lighthouse.
The current runs close to shore in front of the elegant white lighthouse near Tranekær. Over the years, many sea trout have been caught right in front of the lighthouse – including an impressive post-spawning male weighing 10 kilos and measuring 1 meter.
Although the spot has become somewhat sanded over in recent years, it can still produce good catches. Many anglers now choose to fish further north or south. The entire coastal stretch past Stengade Forest offers one promising spot after another. North of the lighthouse, you’ll find a similarly productive stretch of about one kilometer.
