Fresh fish – far from the coast
Situated in the heart of Bakkelandet, surrounded by great natural attractions, and with the Gudenå River running right in its backyard, this combined fish restaurant and shop can be found.
In Det Lille Røgeri's (Thhe Little Smokehouse) shop, you can purchase carefully selected items made from scratch and without additives. Choose from a variety of options including smoked salmon or trout, homemade fish cakes, or crayfish tail salad.
The fish is smoked in its own oven, which is over 30 years old. It's like ovens and fine wine - they get better with age. Therefore, fish smoked in an old oven has a particularly intense and powerful flavor.
You can also find other specialties such as smoked pork tenderloin and beer from the nearby Virklund Bryghus.
Take specialties out into nature
Voervadsbro is close to various popular attractions and picnic spots in Bakkelandet - for example, The Rediscovered Bridge, Sukkertoppen, and Klostermølle. When on a nature outing in the area, it's a great idea to stop by Det Lille Røgeri and buy a lunchbox with 6 different specialties.
Additionally, a selection of ready-made dishes and other takeaway options are also available for a quick and easy meal.
You're welcome to enjoy the food from the shop at the outdoor tables in the courtyard.
