The architectural masterpiece 8House

8TALLET follows the pattern of architectural master pieces in Ørestad in Copenhagen and is designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG).

8TALLET (i.e. the number 8) follows in the footsteps of the VM Mountain from 2008, being selected as the winner of the Housing category at the World Architecture Festival 2011 for demonstrating commitment and excellence on many levels.

Family houses and community

8TALLET’s fundamental ideas are room for free time and family life, community, and activity, and contain 476 homes divided into town houses, penthouse apartments with gardens to match, and regular apartments.

The housings have everything you expect of a modern home and entertain charming details like a difference in levels and floor-to-ceiling height.

Child-friendly area

The entire complex is combined by a one kilometre long path that curls around the building and functions as a natural meeting place for the residents of the estate and a safe way of travel for children when they go visit each other.

8TALLET epitomizes room for display and activity, and there are lots of common areas that are perfect for every occasion. Also, 8TALLET is located right next to Kalvebod Fælled’s huge, protected scenic areas.

BIG is also known for designing VM Husene (VM Houses) and VM Bjerget (VM Mountain) in Ørestad.
