Stay by the lake and within walking distance of Viborg

Located by Søndersø lake with Viborg town centre just across the water, this well-kept campsite offers a peaceful oasis surrounded by greenery. A scenic path leads you along the lake directly into the town centre, where you’ll find a variety of restaurants and shops – and the chance to visit the historic Viborg Cathedral. Right next to the campsite, garden enthusiasts can explore the Forest Botanical Garden and the Nordic Park.

Fun activities for the kids

Children can enjoy themselves on the well-equipped playground with two bouncy cushions, race around the moon car track, or play a round of mini-golf or beach volleyball. There is also a bathing jetty by the lake, ideal for a refreshing dip, and in the evening, families can gather around the cosy campfire.
The campsite also hosts regular activities for both children and adults – including communal dining, bingo, candleholder making, cake relay races, and pancake baking.

Big experiences nearby

Just 15 minutes from the campsite lies Mønsted Kalkgruber – the world’s largest limestone mines – offering a spectacular underground adventure. In the opposite direction, you’ll find the World Map at Klejtrup, where visitors of all ages can walk around the globe in just a few minutes.

Go on an excursion

Within an hour’s drive, there are even more attractions to explore. South of the site, Himmelbjerget near Silkeborg offers breathtaking views from 147 metres above sea level. Heading north leads to the Limfjord, where scenic walking trails follow the coastline and the island of Fur invites for a visit.
Randers Regnskov is also nearby – a tropical zoo filled with exotic animals and plants, ideal for a fun family outing.

Bring your own caravan, tent or stay in a cabin

The campsite in Viborg offers a wide selection of pitches for caravans and tents in beautiful natural surroundings. Cosy budget cabins with private kitchens and space for up to four people are also available. The cabins are centrally located on the site and include access to all facilities and activities.
