Christmas Eve around the Christmas tree in Hulsig

Hulsig keeps alive a special Christmas tradition that has continued for more than 20 years. At 9 pm on Christmas Eve, local residents and their guests gather in the square in front of the station to share a brief festive moment together.

Christmas songs and dancing around the tree

The participants sing four Christmas songs together before dancing around the decorated Christmas tree in the square. Afterwards, everyone goes their separate ways and continues Christmas Eve with family and guests.

For many families, the gathering has become a regular part of Christmas Eve between Christmas dinner and opening presents. Around 100 people usually take part in the traditional celebration.
