Christiansminde is a lovely sandy beach with shallow water, making it suitable for families with children who can also make use of the playground and other facilities in the area.

The beach offers a fantastic view along Svendborg Sound towards the city and towards Thurø and Troense. The sailing boats passing close to the beach are also a beautiful sight.

On good days, the beach and surrounding areas become a gathering place for many of the city's residents and tourists, easily accessible by pedestrians and cyclists. There are parking spaces available, located by entering right by Hotel Christiansminde. City buses also run to the location.

The veteran ship MS Helge docks at Christiansminde, which also has a bathing jetty and is wheelchair accessible.
