The Aurochs monument

In 1904, a farmer found the skeleton of a large aurochs, which lived in Denmark more than 10,000 years ago.

The skeleton is today at the Danish National Museum in Copenhagen, and a memorial stone has been erected at the finding place in Odsherred.
