Aalborg Carnival is one of the biggest annual events in Aalborg, bringing thousands of people together for a celebration filled with costumes, music and community spirit. The theme “Uden dig – Ingen os” – “Without you, there is no us” – highlights the very heart of the carnival: the joy of sharing an experience and being part of something bigger.

The theme invites creativity and personal interpretation. You can dress up as something that means something to you, something you love, or something that connects you with your friends. Whether you join a group costume or create your own look, you help complete the colourful picture of the carnival.

Carnival parades through Aalborg

The carnival day begins with colourful parades starting from several locations around the city. The routes move through Aalborg and gather on Vesterbro before continuing together towards Kildeparken, where the celebrations continue.

Parade routes include Nørresundby, Østerport, Vestbyen at Fjordmarken and an International Star Parade. Each route brings thousands of participants in imaginative costumes through the city streets.

Kildeparken – music and festival atmosphere

When the parades reach Kildeparken, the celebration continues with a large music festival featuring both live performances and DJ sets throughout the day.

The line-up includes artists such as Gilli, Artigeardit, ICEKIID, Jimilian x Branco, Omar, Thor Farlov, Berg, Hav & Kamal, Faustix, Emil Lange, Craskin and Anton Westerlin with a DJ set.

Carnival wristbands

An official carnival wristband is required to access the music area in Kildeparken. The wristband grants entry to the festival area and supports the organisation of Aalborg Carnival.
