UVP Service & Montage is run by Ulrik V. Poulsen, a trained ship fitter from Karstensens Skibsværft in Skagen.
We provide all kinds of solutions in metal and other materials for seafarers and other good folks – from construction work to blacksmithing to final assembly – both in steel and stainless steel.

UVP Service & Montage performs many different tasks on board fishing cutters and pleasure boats, among other things. This can be anything from product development and construction to welding tasks and polishing of both propellers and stainless elements. I handle tasks in aluminum, stainless steel, and composite – depending on the nature of the job.
I have a workshop at Østerby Bedding in Østerby Harbor on Læsø. Here, there is not only plenty of space but also a strong maritime network with both shipyard, blacksmiths, ship carpenters, electricians, and net makers.
There is a strong tradition of everyone helping each other, which means that I always have a strong network of competent colleagues to draw on.

Mobile or sailing service
Many tasks often require some on-site research, workshop work, and subsequent installation on board or at the customer's location if it's on land, and I am used to servicing and installing both locally and in the many local harbors in northern Jutland.
With a background in a seafaring family with several generations of fishing, I am accustomed to being on both pleasure boats and professional ships, and I know that space is limited and that functionality and durability in a harsh environment are crucial for the solutions provided.
Many tasks require a visit on board both before and after completion – here it is outdoors with plenty of space, but often it is naturally below deck with very limited space – challenging and fun to create customized solutions – click on the picture and see more examples of solutions >
Special Tasks
UVP Service & Montage also undertakes special tasks in welding; no job is too small, and we also perform tasks on land for both businesses and private individuals.
Welding is a central part of many tasks – this example is not maritime, but it showcases the wide range of tasks and solutions we provide.
