Idyllically situated by the river in Aarhus, Restaurant Pondus is the little brother to the gourmet restaurant Substans, and its answer to a Danish organic bistro. Focus is therefore on using local produce and creating exciting dishes with as much ecology on the plate as possible.

Simple and modern meals are enjoyed in cosy surroundings with rustic decor, which reinforces the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that defines Pondus. In the summer months, you can sit outside and enjoy watching the city life.
The menu changes with the seasons and always focuses on excellent taste
You can choose from à la carte, the three-course menu of the day or the Pondus package. We purchase our wines from small European producers, and the majority of them are organic too.
Restaurant Pondus received a Bib Gourmand in Guide Michelin Nordic Countries 2022, which is awarded for quality food at reasonable prices.
