At MASKINHUSET in Kragnæs, Rie Soelberg experiments with clay and creates beautiful bowls, crockery and unique art - experience a workshop that exudes creativity, craftsmanship and aesthetics.
Experimentation is the starting point for Ries' fascination with working with clay and ceramics. She is based in Kragnæs in her workshop MASKINHUSET, where she also organises courses and workshops.
Ries' ceramic education is made up of courses throughout Denmark over the past 18 years with experienced and skilled ceramicists who have generously shared their knowledge. These include inspiring teachers at Aarhus Art Academy, the Ceramic School in Copenhagen, Aage Würtz in Horsens and Guldagergaard, International Ceramic Research Centre.
Right now Rie is interested in the entire Japanese ceramic tradition and the Japanese philosophy, Wabi Sabi.
