Pottery workshop for the whole family

In this workshop, you will make your own clay bowl using a technique called coil building. You can easily learn it, even if you do not already know the technique. You will receive help along the way and can shape the bowl as you like. The workshop takes place in ceramicist Maja Frendrup’s studio. She may be working on pots using the same coil-building technique, which you can see. Once you have built the bowl, it needs to dry. Maja will then fire and glaze it for you. It will therefore take a few weeks before it is ready for collection. Afterwards, it can be used as a candy bowl or for whatever you like. Shipping can be arranged for participants who do not live on the island (Denmark/EU: 50/100 DKK). The workshop is suitable for children and young people aged 5–17 as well as adults. Maximum 9 participants per session. Duration is approximately one and a half hours. To register, send an email with your name, telephone number, preferred date, and the number of children and adults attending. After confirmation, pay the invoice you receive. Participation requires a Craft & Kulturuge wristband for everyone over 14.
