Kongsø B&B near the Ancient Road Hærvejen

The house is a charming part of a summer residence dating from 1899, with high ceilings, creaky wooden floors and a cosy interior characterised by upcycled items, flea market finds and personal touches.

As a guest, you’ll have access to a cosy dining and lounge area, a shared bathroom and outdoor seating with views of the forest. A self-service breakfast is available at an additional cost.

From the front door, there is direct access to forest trails where you can enjoy birdsong, red deer and the area’s rich wildlife. The Hærvejen trail passes close by, making Kongsø Homestay an ideal stop for walkers and cyclists. It is also a short distance to swimming lakes, viewpoints and some of the Søhøjlandet region’s most beautiful natural areas.

Location: Kongsø Homestay is situated south of Silkeborg, in the heart of the forest near Bryrup, in peaceful surroundings far from the traffic and noise of the town.
