Kongestenen, Rørvig

On a large moor area, which is now protected, a monument was erected to commemorate  the king elections that Saxo mentions in his chronicle.

Especially the king election in 1076 when Harald was elected after the death of Svend Estridsen and in 1104 when Erik Ejegod died and the king had to be elected between the brothers Ubbe and Niels.
