Concert - Bach Comes to Town
What happens when Johann Sebastian Bach gets fed up with fugues and needs to get away for a bit?

In Bach Comes to Town, the Munich-based Trio Arizzo and actress Celeste Borchorst Faurschou take the audience on an entertaining journey through time and space. Along the way, Bach encounters a host of composers from music history, and his own music is accompanied by classical, popular and jazz-inspired melodies.
The programme features arrangements of Bach’s music alongside works by composers including Mozart, Giovanni Simone Mayr, Georges Auric and Alec Templeton. Trio Arizzo plays the oboe, clarinet and bassoon, whilst Celeste weaves the music together with storytelling.
About the musicians:
Trio Arizzo consists of Florian Adam on the oboe, Lars Zolling on the clarinet and Cornelius Rinderle on the bassoon.
The three musicians come from some of Munich’s leading symphony orchestras and have been playing together since 2014.
Celeste Borchorst Faurschou is a singer and actress and has appeared in a number of theatre and musical theatre productions. Among other things, she has been the narrator in Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and appeared in the Reumert-nominated production Messiah Tonight.
