Experience in the dark by the Wadden Sea

In week 42, we turn off the lights by the Wadden Sea when we invite you to "Experience in the dark", where you can participate in fascinating dark experiences all week.

The darkness by the Wadden Sea is completely unique.

In 2024, Mandø was officially Dark Sky certified, making it an ideal place to experience the magnificence of the night sky without light pollution. As part of this, the "Experience in the Dark" will create unique activities where you can explore the night in a whole new way.

Darkness forms the framework for experiences throughout the autumn holidays. Go out and experience the Black Sun phenomenon, take a Ghostwalk or take a walk with the Night Watchman in Ribe's dark streets, sail with the Tour boat Martha while you taste dark beer, look at art in dark surroundings, dive into the dark depths of the sea at the Fisheries and Maritime Museum, come underground and see bunkers from World War 2 from the inside, take part in a dark quiz or take part in a Supermoon photo safari.
