Christmas at Bork Vikingehavn
Visit Bork Viking Harbour on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd November, meet the Vikings and see how they prepare to celebrate ‘jól’.
In the Viking Age – as well as today – food played an important role in celebrations, so naturally there is plenty of cooking going on – and tastings for those who stop by.
You can also make your own yeast wreath and hear the story of the Vikings and their use of yeast wreaths for brewing beer. For a fee, you can also make a beeswax candle to light up the dark evenings.
In the Viking Hall, you can enjoy a game and some tasty treats, soak up the cosy atmosphere and let the jóla peace descend.
