It is possible to withdraw Danish kroner with a Euro, Visa, Cirrus or MasterCard from most of the large number of ATMs that are established next to the individual bank branches. It is shown on the ATM which cards can be used. The ATMs can also be used outside the banks' normal opening hours.
Restaurants, petrol stations, hotels, department, etc. stores are entitled to impose a surcharge when a customer uses an international credit card in payment, but there is no law injunction to do so, in other words it is up to each restaurant, etc. whether it will impose a surcharge or not on the bill. If they do impose a surcharge, it must be stated on the menu, at the reception, entrance or in the room. The size of the surcharge is up to 3,75%, depending on what the store pays to receive the foreign international credit cards.
