Copenhagen, Denmark (December 9th, 2011) - Denmark’s leading business hotel,
Hilton Copenhagen Airport, will embark on an extensive hotel transformation from December including a stylish, new interior design. This new initiative, “Room for the NEW”, is an exciting part of the development of the award-winning hotel.
Claus Steiner, General Manager at Hilton Copenhagen Airport, shares:
“We have chosen to call the new venture “Room for the NEW” to illustrate that it is the beginning of a new stage in the hotel’s 10-year history. We are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, and with “Room for the NEW”, we will develop the physical environment of the hotel, so that it meets our guests’ personal requirements in the future.”
“Room for the NEW” is designed to give our customers a complete experience during their visit, so they can concentrate on the essentials and enjoy the pleasant environment. Hilton Copenhagen Airport’s fundamental vision for this innovative new plan is to form a common platform for hotel guests, personnel and owners.

The new design will be rolled out on the 9th to the 12th floor, including all Executive and Deluxe Rooms, in 2012. This will be followed in the summer by the modernisation of the Business Centre and all Hilton Meetings rooms on the 2nd floor of the hotel.
Marianne Fryland, Design Manager at
Jönsson Designlab, who was also behind the interior design of the hotel when it opened in 2001, explains:
“Hilton Copenhagen Airport is going through an exciting development. “Room for the NEW” is not just a new look for the hotel, it is an ambition - which makes this a dream assignment”.
It is Hilton Copenhagen Airport’s ambition to create a hotel interior which upholds the Nordic expression, but with an international approach. This ambition is well supported by cooperation with the Paul Bevis design team, who are responsible for many other international assignments for Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
Owner of the hotel,
Copenhagen Airports A/S, shares the enthusiasm with the hotel of this new approach. Carsten Nørland, Sales & Marketing Director Copenhagen Airports A/S, comments:
“The hotel has been very successful over the years and it is important that it continues to meet the high demands of the international travellers, and that Copenhagen Airports together with the Hilton Copenhagen Airport is able to offer our guests the highest quality possible.” More on Hotel Facelifts & Expansions in Copenhagen 2011/2012
