Denmark - The Liveable Land
|
|
Denmark is a land of more than 400 islands and 4700 miles of coast line. In Denmark you are never more than 30 miles from the sea. And whether you visit Denmark in summer or winter, the sea is always part of the bigger picture.

Distances are short in Denmark and there are many inspiring sights and entertaining attractions to experience. Why not visit the world’s first and largest Legoland? Or northern Europe’s biggest Oceanarium? You can easily reach many of Denmark’s attractions within just a few hours drive. So why not rent a seaside cottage for family and friends – one nestled among the sand dunes with a roaring open fire? Or stay at a comfortable resort hotel? And whether travelling with the family or on a romantic holiday for two, seaside bed & breakfasts and inns are also widely available.

Cycling through the countryside or the city is a great way to visit sights and attractions at your own pace – and work up an appetite for lunch. Danish cities are designed for living. They are cycle-friendly and easy to get around. Boutique shopping is so much easier by bike. You simply park your bicycle and browse – and then hop on again and get pedalling.
Danes are often rated among the world’s happiest people, and never more so than when pedalling their bikes. Danish towns have a human scale and there are designated bicycle paths with separate traffic lights along most streets. Just follow the flow. And should you get lost, simply wait at the next traffic light and ask directions from your fellow city cyclists. Try a bike ride in one of Denmark's largest cities Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg
